Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we close out the Thanksgiving season we have so much to be thankful for at TES. We are thankful for are our wonderful faculty, staff, parents, and students.
The week of November 13-17 was a great opportunity to celebrate American Education Week and honor individuals who are making a difference in the lives of children. The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) Days at TES were a great success! THANK YOU to parents who supported this project by sending in materials. Sarah Mayhew did a wonderful job of organizing and overseeing the creative lessons that your child or children experienced during our two days of focusing on STEAM. The two STEAM days were November 20th and 21st. Please make sure you talk with your child to see what creative and educational activities were planned for them during that time. We had an incredible day with Breakfast with Santa, sponsored by the PTO, that was held on December 2nd. This was a fun and exciting time for everyone.
Wow! It's hard to believe we are closing out the Fall and headed into the Winter Holidays! It is such a magical and special time of the year. With the winter months rapidly approaching, remember to check the local news channels for school closings and delays due to inclement weather. If you need to update contact information for our instant alert system, please contact the school’s office as soon as possible.
Our first semester will end on December 20th. This is also an early dismissal day and we will begin dismissing at 1:35pm. We are very proud of the tremendous progress that our students have made thus far. As Tomahawk enters the Second Semester which will begin January 3rd, 2018, we are very eager see the growth of each and every student. Report Cards will be sent home on Tuesday, January 9th, 2018.
As always we are appreciative of the time you spend at TES for events, lunch with your child, and to volunteer. If you need anything, please let us know. We want your experience at TES to always be a positive one.
From our TES family to yours have a safe and wonderful upcoming Winter Break and a prosperous New Year!

From the TES faculty and staff, to the students, families, and community members, I have felt like all have welcomed me with open arms. I truly feel blessed to be part of this amazing educational system. Thank you again for all your kindness and support. Have a great holiday!! Amanda Lokar
